The track Bug Hunt is NOT the same version that plays when Ralph goes into the Hero's Duty game. And for those of you that listen hard at that point in the movie, know it's a good song. Why they didn't include it in this album is beyond me, and honestly a sizeable drawback, in my opinion, because it's the only bit of music that's missing, and it's a good song. The album is still worth getting, though, because it still includes all the awesome score songs as well as the Owl City/etc songs. So much of this music is a blast from the past, and Mr. Jackman's done a sweet job of mixing in modern pop elements along with nods to the classics (the song of the Laffy Taffies, for example). I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the theme "Sugar Rush" but I'm pleased with the mix of emotion expressed in the score. Great background music for everyday. The movie was great and the music from it was great as well. The first five or so tracks are the only tracks that are performances by musical groups, the rest of the disc is the movie score, and if you have seen the movie as much as I have (thanks to my 3 year old daughter) you can visualize in your head whats going on in the movie. The only tracks I really don't care for are the ones from the groups Skrillex (I don't care for electronica music and it' about 7 and half minutes long) and Rihana, (after hearing the song by itself without the movie playing, i find it a very obscene song and inappropriate for children to listen too. ) Top reviews from other countries 4.
