Im trying to decide whether to go Night Lords or keep my custom chapter. One of the hang ups I keep having on the decision is in conceptualizing the Night Lords as a fully functional Chaos Space Marine legion, and not just a bunch of scary guys in jetpacks. What I mean by this, is some of the appeal of CSM is the idea of heavy infantry shock troops who have a willingness and/or devotion to using otherworldly powers (daemons etc. ). At a glance the Night Lords seem to ditch much of the cool Marine equipment and shun anything daemon related to be scary fast boys (which is a spot filled by my Dark Eldar). After reading alot of lore on the NL and the NL omnibus, I think I have fluff friendly ways to incorporate units and tactics I love in CSM while staying true to the NL, but I wanted to see if others felt it was in line with their fluff, or if Im trying to jam a square peg in a round hole from a fluff perspective.. (I read alot of things where people said play night lords and take whatever you want, it's been 10, 000+ years, etc.

Drinks and food is free. You just have to give a little bit of your freedom and sometimes a limb or two. Who would not respect such generous hosts. The Chaos is basically "peace through superior firepower" They are not evil. You will receive gifts like a plague bump or an additional arm. Who does not want and additional arm? It always comes in handy.

Artys Arryn (4) Gates of the Moon Crown Prince, heir to the Vale. Small baby. Very loud. Ambrose Arryn (2) Gates of the Moon The Queen's second son. Tiny baby. Alyssa Durrandon née Arryn (22) Tyrosh Married to Monfryd Durrandon, coming to terms with being a mother. Travelling the Essosi Free Cities on board of her longship, the Flying Fish, although her way of solving problems by running away from them doesn't seem to really work anymore. Osric Arryn (40) Gates of the Moon Married to Alyssa Sunderland. Dutiful, attempting to focus on his family, although more often than not spending time amidst books and ledgers, and his knowledge in economy is still of use for the good of the Kingdom. Agnes Arryn (18) Winterfell Daughter of Osric Arryn and his Sunderland wife was not blessed with beauty, but still remains a kind and gentle soul, a dreamer who often finds solace in prayer.

I tried to keep this brief but it got huge, sorry about that. If you read all this, or any part, give me your thoughts about if it fits fluff. And let me know if my perceptions of the lads in midnight clad is off base. TL/DR: Is it fluffy for relatively traditional Night Lords to use "heavier" tactics and weapons, Daemons, and conquest territory in any fashion?

In the lore the NL are, at the moment, disorganized, starved for resources, and portrayed as little more than pirates. Maybe Decimus will change that, maybe someone will pop on the Corona Nox and the spirit of Curze will poke their brain a bit and get everyone excited. Until then I could see a NL force that essentially has turned it's original purpose back onto the Imperium, executing brutal attacks on worlds to splinter them from Imperial control, seeding traitor forces, and siphoning resource tithes from worlds within their reach. Keeping this shadow regime in check through fear much in the same way they brought worlds into compliance during the great crusade, just a bit subtler. They would likely still operate primarily fleet based. Only occasionally building something like a planetside fortress, most often letting governments theyve bent to be renegade do that. Multiple inexplicable uprisings spreading across a sector like a fear driven cancer, a persistent and unlucky Imperial agent might find the common midnight clad thread tying it all together.

After burning you at a stake of course. There is no corruption in the Empire (Sigmar bless the Empire, of course there is none... ) and the Emperor is the only way to safe your sinfull life. At least you have the chance to become a solider who will die 3 seconds later than his counterpart the bretonian pleasant. Because you had training. The dwarves are the embodiment of honour. They are so honourable, they will fight in absolutely stupid campaigns for thousand of years, only because someone stole a gold coin from them. Sometimes it is even enough to look wrong at them. 300 years later you will have "guests" who demand your head because your grand grand grand grand grandfather mentioned dwarf and elf in one sentence. The dark elves are basically the good guys in warhammer fantasy, but the other races got it all wrong. Malekith just wants the throne and it is his by birthright. The evil Elves just took it from him. Wars are not cheap. Because of this the dark elves must invite guests by force into their lands.

Opening: Hello everyone! Commander Legends is upon us. Within the next few weeks, we will be able to take commander to a whole new level. I am super pumped for this set. Commander is the format I enjoy the second most (Pioneer being first) so I can't wait to add some powerful cards to my 6 decks i have kicking around. So rally your troops, when you have a Minotaur leading your army things will get hairy fast. For this review we will be looking at the new and reprinted cards featured in commander legends, to see how they can be used for Minotaur based EDH decks. While the purpose of this is to highlight notable cards, I am not telling you what to play. Rather I am trying to offer possibilities to experiment with, should you want to make/expand your own minotaur decks. Also, in case you missed it, I released a video analysis on Oko and his surrounding discourse. So check it out if you have 20 minutes to spare. Black: Court of Ambition: Being the Monarch is important for Minotaurs as it gives us more card draw.
Wheel of Misfortune: poor mans wheel of fortune that punishes greed and is great for politics. An excellent way to fill your hand once you have exhausted yourself. Multicolored: Vial Smasher: an all-star in his own right, this goblin can be fun way to chip in some extra damage. Being able to bolt someone's face (or more) is always a useful tool to have access to. While it may be better to build around her as a commander with partner, I think she's strong enough to be in the 99 for Rakdos Minotaur Commanders. Zedruu, the Greathearted: Zedruu is a weird but fun build around commander. His purpose is to give your odd and hindering permanents to enable a reverse pillow fort strategy. Its far from what Minotaurs usually have to work with and certainly not meant for tribal strategies. However, if you wanted to build him based on tribal there are a handful of Minotaurs that can be used. Raka Disciple, Minotaur Tactician, Minotaur Illusionist, Etherium-horn Sorcerer and Firesong and Sunspeaker are your options outside of mono red Minotaurs.
