Le climat général de ce long métrage est par conséquent plutôt froid, inhospitalier et austère. La gravité de son propos (il y est sujet de peine de mort) renforce le côté peu amène de "La veuve de Saint-Pierre". Il manque de chaleur et on a du mal à s'interèsser à la cause de ce condammé dans l'attente de son bourreau. Tout cela est très poussif, même si Juliette Binoche est vraiment excellente. J'ai eu la surprise de trouver ce film sur Netflix, que d'émotions! C'est intriguant, captivant et bouleversant! J'ai jamais été un grand fan de Leconte, mais ce film reste correct grâce aux acteurs, Auteuil et Binoche, mais surtout Kusturica vraiment très bon.

After I made this post I got very caught up in something and didn't check back here, and haven't been able to reply to all your wonderful responses, but I'm so moved to get this kind of response.
level 2 I don't think it was as good as it should've been. The pacing after the pilot is really slow. I agree with each thing you said, but still consider it an excellent show, and would rate it highly. level 2 I thought the pacing was fine, I just thought every single character was boring except for Nazi commanders. The overall mystery spoiler then I don't think I can keep watching it. It's also one of those mysteries with a few possible outcomes that they can pick from so I'm only really interested in seeing which one they pick. I think the show would've been much better if it was more about the politics and trying to run an empire. level 2 I agree. I have one episode left and its felt very slow. And I like all the side characters and stories way more than the Joe and Julia story. She's just moping her way through the damn show. I'm also afraid it's going to go sci-fi on me (evidenced by the films), which I normally would be okay with, but they've been playing everything else in the show as a realistic, if alternate, reality.
