Recensione di Marianna Cappi domenica 19 ottobre 2014 Shun Takahata si è appena lamentato della sua vita, noiosa e uguale a se stessa, quando la mattina, in classe, la testa del professore esplode e al suo posto compare un gioco parlante e assassino (il Daruma ga koronda, "Daruma è caduto"), una versione mortale di "Un, due, tre, Stella" che miete una vittima dopo l'altra, lasciando un solo vincitore per aula. Non c'è tempo per domandarsi cosa stia succedendo, ma solo per prepararsi al secondo gioco, altrettanto infantile e sterminatore. Basterebbe la sequenza iniziale, da antologia degli incipit cinematografici più visionari e strizzastomaco, per aver ragione di fare un bell'inchino a Miike e magari sperare di indovinare un nuovo punto di svolta nella sua filmografia, che ne ha già conosciuto più di uno. Il resto del film mantiene le promesse, perché, anche se la struttura drammaturgica è presto chiara e non subisce variazioni, lo tengono insieme una coerenza visiva e una misura narrativa eccellenti.

Visage émacié et regard fou Les archives filmées des années 1960 et 1970 dénichées par le réalisateur Jay Bulger montrent un grand rouquin au visage émacié et au regard fou. Elles font entendre aussi un batteur d'une puissance et d'une aisance rythmique inouïes. Les nombreux témoignages de partenaires musiciens ou de proches (ex-épouses, enfants) parlent de Ginger Baker avec, selon les cas, admiration, tendresse, effroi, tristesse ou mélancolie. D'Eric Clapton à Carlos Santana en passant par Charlie Watts, Nick Mason ou Stewart Copeland, pour ne citer que les plus célèbres, tous évoquent un personnage dont les traits et la vie dépassent l'entendement. Et un batteur aussi à l'aise avec un orchestre de jazz qu'avec un groupe de rock. « Doux Jésus, Ginger joue comme un nègre », s'est exclamé un jour le mythique Max Roach (1924-2007). Le plus beau compliment que Ginger Baker pouvait recevoir de la part d'une de ses quatre idoles, les autres étant Phil Seamen (1926-1972), Art Blakey (1919-1990) et Elvin Jones (1927-2004).
This remake is proof that if you have even a few poorly cast actors, the whole ship is not going to float. Viggo Mortensen being an exception. He's an improvement over the ever wooden James Gavin. Julianne Moore holds her own, although overplays it a bit. William H. Macy is always good. However, Anne Heche really seems unable to grasp the subtle nuances of her character, the way the marvelous Janet Leigh does in the original. There's just something missing in her performance. Same goes for Vince Vaughn. Although I think it a somewhat interesting choice to play Norman Bates, he just couldn't seem to find it - certainly not compared to Anthony Perkins, who was so brilliant in the original, it literally destroyed the rest of his career. The final scene is a fine example. When Perkins played it, you truly believe he is deeply psychotic. Although he has no lines, his nuanced facial expressions are convincingly that of the deeply disturbed, and it's disturbing to watch. Vaughan just can't seem to get it going, thus, the final scene in the remake, crucial to the film coming off, falls flat.

Sea un buen oyente. Anime a los demás a que hablen de sí mismos. Hable siempre de lo que interese a los demás. Haga que la otra persona se sienta importante y hágalo sinceramente.
I doubt there's much fact involved in National Treasure, but it's a great deal of fun to watch. It's good for family viewing and could bring up some elements of national history you may wish to explore.
